Praying with: Queenswood School
Queenswood began its life as the Educational Home for the Daughters of Wesleyan Ministers in Clapton, London in 1869, it then transferred to Clapham Park, London and closed in 1893, only to re-open as Queenswood School in 1894, with 23 girls. Thus, Queenswood has a Christian foundation and its aim is to nurture faith through the varied and stimulating regular worship that is at the heart of school life. It welcomes those of other faiths or none and staff are happy to arrange for them to receive the spiritual support they need. Queenswood encourages intellectual curiosity and girls are welcome to discuss their thoughts, feelings and faith in an open and supportive context. We pray for the Principal, Mrs Jo Cameron, all the staff and pupils of the school, and we pray for the Reverend Ali Facey as she takes on the link between our Circuit and the School. Verse of the day
