DBS Checks

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) – Criminal Record Checks

For Methodist Churches DBS checks are undertaken on our behalf by Due Diligence Checking (DDC) using an online system.

Some of the Circuit Ministers and Safeguarding Officers are able to request DDC checks and verify documents.

To start the process the following details are needed for each applicant.

  • Full name
  • Date of Birth
  • email address
  • Telephone number
  • Church they attend and the role(s) they have at the Church

Please speak to your Minister who will be able to either start the process or direct you to the correct person.
