Revd David Jebb - Superintendent Minister

I am David Jebb; I was born into an active Methodist family. I received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in applied theology and Christian Ethics from the Universities in Serampore and England.

After four years of ministerial training, I was inducted as a Methodist minister in 1986 and ordained in 1990. I married my wife Jenet in 1988, and we have two daughters; the eldest daughter is a lawyer who lives with her husband in Buckinghamshire, and the second daughter is working as a psychologist wellbeing consultant for NHS in Cheshire. They all are very supportive of God's ministry and the Church.

On 1st September, I enter my 36th year of  ministry and my first year as Superintendent minister of  the St Albans and Welwyn Circuit and Presbyter of St John’s Potters Bar,+ Shenley and Radlett (LEP) plus Methodist Ecumenical Officer for Hertfordshire.

I'm a thinking evangelical Christian with strong tendencies in a mission-shaped ministry direction. I am passionate about building/developing a mission-based church ministry. I am keen to encourage others to seek and find the real meaning of being a Christian Disciple in a 21st-century world and the church to grow in making disciples. I am passionate about Preaching, Pastoral Ministry, Evangelism, Mission, Creative and contemporary worship, ministry among young and old, and sharing the Gospel with those on edge and beyond the fringe of the Church.

Revd Rosemary Mutopo

Rosemary has Pastoral and Worship responsiblity for the Welwyn Hatfield section of the St. Albans & Welwyn Circuit. This includes Digswell Village Church in Digswell, Ludwick Way Methodist Church in Welwyn Garden City, Birchwood Methodist Church in Hatfield  and Oxlease Methodist Church in Hatfield.

Revd Jervis Daniel Yovan

I was born in India in a Christian family and lived with seven siblings. I grew up within the community of multi faith. My friends are from all walks of life. But most of my childhood was spent around church activities. Learning to follow Jesus was the task laid on me in my youth. Through the ups and downs of life, I have learned and developed my walk with Jesus. It was my mum, and my older siblings who played a vital role in my early faith development.

Me and my wife Hannah have four children, two of whom (Joshua and Jebisha) are adults. Our eldest son is being trained to be a minister in Elim Church, and our daughter is studying at Coventry university. My wife worked as Personal Assistant in NHS for 18 years and now dedicates her time looking after our two little boys (Jacob and Joel) aged 11 and 8.

It is my privilege and joy to be part of the worshiping community in St Albans & Welwyn Circuit. It is my passion to see people’s lives being changed and transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our calling as Christians is to follow Jesus and I would like to invite you to explore what God has for us. Let us journey together in fulfilling the Great Commission Jesus gave us (Matthew 28: 19 – 20) by reaching out to those who are in our families and neighbourhood. Let us hold hands together in this pursuit of God’s kingdom by praying for, learning from and encouraging one another. Let us preach the good news of this glorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Deacon Nigel Perrott

Hello I am Nigel Perrott and was Ordained a Methodist Diaconal Minister in 2020. As a Deacon in the Methodist Church, I am a member of the Methodist Diaconal Order, a dispersed religious community focusing on mission.

I look after the Cornerstone House project in Hatfield and can also be found working alongside my colleagues in Welwyn Garden City and St Albans. Jesus said that he came so that people can have life in abundance, I am passionate about sharing this in the communities where I serve. This often involves a lot of coffee, cake, and chocolate, all my favourite things!  I am married to Jane,  we have a daughter and three grandchildren who live in the West Country.
